A global collaboration
Soho House was founded in 1995 as a private members' club for creatives. The ethos was simple: create a comfortable home away from home for artists, actors, musicians, writers, and other creatives to connect, collaborate, and unwind.
Since the birth of the original Soho House 40 Greek Street in London's Soho district, the brand has grown considerably, opening (at the time of writing) a further 44 houses across four continents; locations include iconic cities such as Amsterdam, Istanbul, Chicago, Los Angeles, Toronto, Mexico City, Tel Aviv, Bangkok, Mumbai, and Hong Kong.
From the bustling streets of New York and Berlin to the sun-drenched coasts of Miami and Barcelona, each house is tailored to its environment, reflecting the character and charm of its location and offering members a familiar, yet unique, upscale experience.
At the core of Soho House is its community. A curated approach to membership - focusing on individuals within the creative industries - fosters an environment where members can connect and share passions and ideas. Members enjoy access to exclusive events, including film screenings, live music, and panel discussions. Art lovers enjoy site specific collections, featuring over 8,000 pieces across Soho House's portfolio of properties.
Beyond the club spaces, Soho House provides a range of amenities and services, including bedrooms, restaurants, bars, workspaces, and wellness facilities including gyms, spas and swimming pools.
ROOMNET is honored to collaborate with Soho House, providing Apple-based guest room entertainment technology into the brand's new houses.
Mirroring Soho House's central ethos, ROOMNET TV is based on an authentic home-away-from-home experience. ROOMNET's apps-based technology replicates a typical home environment TV system, in which the user streams, not casts, content on the in-room TV. This offers a much quicker, more intuitive user experience, allowing guests to download their own apps and essentially, curate their own TV experience.
Soho House has chosen to incorporate a live TV service to complement the apps-based delivery of content. This is built via a genre-based delivery method, offering a modern and intuitive way of selecting channels and providing additional viewing options (such as news, sports, and live programming) for the guest.
Using ROOMNET's QR based installation process, each property was implemented on a self-installation model, carefully scheduled to avoid guest disruption or room downtime.
ROOMNET is proud to provide Apple TV to the following Soho House properties:
Babington House, Soho House Rome, Soho House Paris, Soho House Tel Aviv, Soho Warehouse (Los Angeles), Soho House West Hollywood, Soho House Holloway, Soho House Nashville, Soho House New York, Soho House Austin, Soho House Mexico City and Soho House São Paulo.
