ROOMNET believes in conducting business operations in a socially responsible and sustainable manner.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility policy outlines a commitment to positively impacting society, the environment, and the communities in which we operate.

This is a working document, detailing currently operational policies, and initiatives due to be implemented in 2024.

Environmental Policy

ROOMNET supports the responsible and sustainable use of resources, incorporating the following:

• The operation, as much as realistically possible, of a paperless working environment
• All non-essential transportation practices are actively discouraged, with remote meetings prioritized wherever possible.
• A fully electric company vehicle portfolio
• The strategic placement of recycling bins, encouraging the appropriate and consistent recycling of waste product
• The disposal of all electrical waste in accordance with the WEEE directive.
• The use of green energy suppliers

Compliance

ROOMNET endeavors to:

1. Stay informed and up-to-date with all relevant regulations, guidelines, and legislation applicable to our operations.
2. Regularly review and assess the compliance of our waste management practices
3. Provide employees with clear guidelines on conduct in relation to the company environmental policy.
4. Strive to continuously improve, incorporating relevant updates on a quarterly basis and encouraging employees to think and behave in a sustainable manner

Employee Relations

ROOMNET is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where all employees are treated with dignity and respect:

• We provide a safe and healthy work environment for employees and contractors, complying with all relevant health and safety regulations.
• We promote a culture of transparency and accountability throughout the organization.
• We hold twice-weekly regional staff meetings, encouraging open and honest communication and allowing each employee to contribute.
• We offer a flexible working environment, recognising the need to provide a healthy work / life balance.

Carbon Offsetting Initiative

ROOMNET holds a deep-seated belief in environmental responsibility and sustainable practices. In line with this, we’ve implemented multiple policies to mitigate our carbon footprint (as per information contained within our environmental policy).

However as a global designer and supplier of technology systems, we recognise that we can’t avoid creating a carbon footprint. As a responsible organization, we have a duty to acknowledge this, and mitigate our carbon emissions as much as realistically possible.

This must extend beyond the basic requisites such as recycling, we want to do a lot more. With this in mind:

On 1st May 2024, ROOMNET commenced a partnership with climate impact partner, Carma, agreeing to plant one tree for every Apple TV that we sell. In doing so, we strive to offset a portion of each transaction’s carbon emission.

Charitable Activities:

ROOMNET is currently in the process of planning a charity endurance event; this will be branded and held annually, involving employees, industry partners and ROOMNET stakeholders. The event will be based on two fundamental principles:

1. It will be used as a platform for the raising of money for a nominated charity (TBD).
2. It will be used as a vehicle to highlight the importance of positive mental health, encouraging open and honest communication, and offering a support network for all attendees.
